About the Megawatt Scholarship

One Power’s Megawatt Scholarship was established as a unique initiative to give back to the communities surrounding its Wind for Industry® projects. Launched with a vision to empower the next generation of STEM leaders, the scholarship program awards $5,000 annually to high school seniors from school districts neighboring One Power’s wind turbine installations. For each wind turbine constructed, a new scholarship is made available, creating a direct link between renewable energy development and educational opportunities. To date, the program has awarded over $740,000 worth of scholarships, supporting promising students in their pursuit of STEM careers and reinforcing One Power’s commitment to both innovation and community growth.
